At Vauxhall, we aim always to be a socially responsible company. We continuously look to improve our social responsibility performance in four key areas – the environment, the marketplace, the workplace and the community – so that we never lose touch with the things that really matter.

Environment
As a car manufacturer, we know our duty is to minimalise environmental impact, which is why we’re creating cars which will help shape a future of more environmentally friendly motoring. We’re leading the way with innovative vehicles such as the Ampera and EcoFlex models, and, at Vauxhall factories and HQ, we work hard to recycle and reduce our land-fill output.
Marketplace
To ensure we stay true to our commitments to be responsible to our customers’ expectations in the UK marketplace, we follow a programme of rigorous customer-focus, supply-chain and product-safety measures. To support the UK economy, we are also increasing UK sourcing within our supply chain.
Workplace
In 2011 Vauxhall was recognised as one of the UK’s top employers by the Corporate Research Foundation (CRF) Institute, a testament to the commitment and engagement of our employees. We provide the opportunity for personal learning and development, and promote diversity and equality throughout our workforce. Employees of the future are engaged through our Undergraduate Programme, and we stay in touch with and support many of our past employees through the Vauxhall Pensioners Association.
Community
It is very important to us that we have a positive impact on the communities around us, so we support a number of local and national charities. We encourage our employees to engage in charitable activities, such as the Three Peaks Challenge, and since 2010 we have raised over £160,000 for Help for Heroes nationwide.
