Vauxhall Vivaro

Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles was the top-selling van manufacturer to private buyers and small businesses in the crucial plate-change month of September 2012, according to figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.

Vauxhall has sold over 9,000 vans to retail customers in 2012 so far, and over 2,000 in September alone, making us number one in September and the year-to-date.

The Luton-built Vivaro, the star of Vauxhall’s brand new ‘Built in Britain, for Britain’ campaign, was the best-selling van in the retail medium van segment.

Topping the sales charts in March and April 2012, as well as September, Vauxhall’s van sales have been buoyed by the offer of four years’ zero per cent APR finance, four years’ free servicing, a four year warranty and four years of AA cover.

Building over 70,000 vehicles alone last year at its plants in Luton and Ellesmere Port, Vauxhall is the UK’s largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles. The latest edition to the multi award-winning Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles range, the all-new Combo, launched earlier in 2012.

“September is a crucial month for van sales and I am very pleased with our performance,” said Richard Collier, Vauxhall’s National Commercial Vehicle and Business-to-Business Sales Manager. “The popularity of Vauxhall's van range with small businesses is testament to their low running costs, high build quality and superb manufacturer support, especially in the current challenging economic environment.”

September 2012 was a good month for commercial vehicle sales with the overall van market up by just over one per cent on September 2011.
