Vauxhall sings out for British heroes

The Vauxhall Male Voice Choir will be hosting a family Christmas carol concert at St. Mary’s Church in Luton on Saturday 23 November to raise money for Help for Heroes.

Joined by pupils from Ashton Middle School’s children’s choir in Dunstable, the choir will perform familiar Christmas sing-along classics. Refreshments of mulled wine and mince pies will be served throughout the evening.

There will also be the opportunity to meet former soldier, Help for Heroes ambassador and British Paralympian discus thrower Derek Derenalagi. Plus, you can view a heart-warming display of messages for our serving heroes written by pupils from local schools, as part of Vauxhall’s “Send a Message to a Hero Campaign”.

The campaign, also supported by Help for Heroes, is designed to raise morale and show public support for our heroes serving away from home over the festive period. Derek will choose the winner and present them with a special prize - a cuddly Help for Heroes Bear.

Help for Heroes will also be holding a Christmas merchandise sale at the concert, where you can buy jumpers, t-shirts and Hero bear toys, with all proceeds going to the charity.

“It’s really important for Vauxhall to support a worthwhile cause like Help for Heroes which is committed to helping those who have made sacrifices on our behalf,” says Cheryl Stibbs, Vauxhall’s Sponsorship Marketing Manager.

Doors open at 5.45pm. Tickets start from £5 for children, £10 for adults or £20 for a family ticket*, with all proceeds going to Help for Heroes.
