Over the Wall’s Vauxhall Zafira

Over the Wall provides magical, transformative camp experiences for children with serious illnesses. With camps in Dorset, the Midlands and Scotland, the charity hosts hundreds of children and families each year – free of charge.

This year, Vauxhall loaned the charity a Zafira to use during summer camp season. This saved the charity an estimated £4,000, money which will be spent instead on helping more children & families affected by serious illness go to camp free of charge.

Travelling in style

Camp season has now ended, but children at Over the Wall’s camps this summer certainly travelled in style, thanks to the specially branded Zafira.

Mark Dwyer, camp director at Over the Wall, says, “The Zafira has been amazing! It looks fantastic and has turned heads everywhere we’ve gone this summer. We’ve used it at camp to transport campers to and from activities […]. The campers loved getting a spin in the car and liked to sing lots of […] songs while they travelled around the site. The car has also been invaluable when moving equipment from site to site and has attended various fundraising events such as The Rob Roy Challenge in Scotland, giving us a much increased profile."

At Vauxhall, we’re equally thrilled to be able to support such a worthwhile cause. Community relations coordinator Cherie Denton says, “Over the Wall is a fantastic charity that provides incredible support to the children and their families. Because it is free for those who attend, reducing any costs incurred by the charity means they can afford to offer more places for those who need them. We are delighted that the Zafira has helped them achieve that goal.”
