Vauxhall Recycling

Zero Landfill

We’re landfill-free

At Vauxhall, we continually assess the impact of our factories and products on the environment and we’re proud to say that four of our facilities – the Ellesmere Port plant, our Griffin House HQ, our Luton plant and the Vauxhall warehouse in Toddington – no longer contribute waste to landfill.

Here are some stats:

In 2013 in Griffin House, Luton, we recycled 90 tonnes of paper and cardboard.

We also recycled 6.7 tonnes of plastic, which saved 136,000 two-litre plastic bottles or 800,000 carrier bags from being produced.

Globally, General Motors is working to make 100 manufacturing sites and 25 non-manufacturing sites landfill-free by 2020.
