The stylish and versatile Astra Sports Tourer now gains the hatchback’s 110PS/130PS 1.7-litre ecoFLEX Start/Stop engines, delivering just 105g/km of CO2 with 70.6mpg (Combined) economy.

Available across all trim levels – including the all-new, high spec/low P11D value Tech Line – these new engines bring all the advantages of low taxation (13% BiK *1 and employers NIC contributions, 100% first year Writing Down Allowance, £0 Vehicle Excise Duty first year, £20 thereafter) with lower operating costs and impressive levels of performance.

The low emissions and incredible economy are not just due to engine refinement: improved aerodynamics, an active aero-shutter for the radiator grille, lowered chassis and low rolling-resistance tyres all play their part. In addition, kinetic energy is now collected and stored in the battery whenever the vehicle slows, saving use of the alternator – and a clutch activates the air conditioning’s compressor only when it’s needed.
