With the 120PS rated at 139g/km (down 4g/km) and the 140PS at 151g/km (down 5g/km), BiK taxation for Meriva’s 1.4i Turbo petrol engine will be one band lower*1. What’s more, the 120PS version will now attract VED at just £115 – a £15 saving.
The 1.7-litre turbo diesel – only available with automatic transmission – now gains an extra 10PS (to give a total of 110PS) while also cutting its emissions to just 160g/km, so it now qualifies for 20%pa Writing Down Allowance. These changes also result in a one band reduction of BiK plus a lowering of first year VED by a full £100.
The SE trim’s alloy wheels have gained an inch in diameter and are now 17-inch. Changes to the metallic paint options include the replacement of Star Silver metallic with Sovereign Silver metallic and the introduction of Carbon Flash metallic for Black Sapphire pearlescent.

Astra GTC has gained a 6-speed automatic transmission, available on the 1.4 Turbo petrol or 2.0CDTi Turbo diesels. And to add to the striking looks, a VXR Styling Pack and rear spoiler will also be available. For those wanting the ‘ultimate’ GTC experience, the wait will be just a little longer: the VXR variant with its 280PS 2.0-litre Start/Stop Turbo engine will not be available until later in the year.

Corsa SRi and SXi models will benefit from dark-style headlights, while Sovereign Silver metallic paint will be available as an option on most models replacing Star Silver metallic paint. Black Sapphire pearlescent paint is to be replaced by Carbon Flash metallic and Sunny Melon brilliant paint is replaced by Flaming Yellow brilliant paint.
