Too good to be true? Not with the Vauxhall range. Our fuel-economy is as impressive on real world roads as it is in official figures – proven by the recent What Car? True MPG test. Our cars showed outstanding performance, compared to some relatively poor performances by our competitors; just follow the link at the foot of the page to see for yourself. In the test, the Corsa SXi 1.2i VVT ecoFLEX S/S performed particularly well:

  • Easily beating the VW Polo 1.4 85 Match and Ford Fiesta 1.6 TDCi Econetic
  • Showing only a 1% variance from its official average mpg figure
  • Adding just £30 to the cost of the official mpg expectations (for every 20,000 miles)

Vauxhall’s outstanding fuel economy and low CO2 emissions also came into their own in the real world for the Zafira Tourer SE 2.0CDTi 16v (165PS) S/S:

  • Came well ahead of its usual rivals the VW Touran 1.6 TDI 105 S and both a petrol and diesel engine version of the Ford S-Max
  • Called "one of the stars of our True MPG test" by What Car?
  • The highest scoring MPV by a substantial margin, averaging 52.4mpg

The test should leave you in no doubt that, when it comes to fuel savings, Vauxhall is streets ahead for your fleet.
