The British Standards Institute has recognised Vauxhall’s commitment to crisis planning by awarding it ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management Standard certification: the first automotive company in the world to achieve this recognition.
ISO 22301 certification is only awarded to organisations with high level measures and processes in place to ensure continuity of supply in adverse situations, ranging from major natural disasters to even minor incidents such as ice and snow blocking local road networks.
Vauxhall staff have devoted many hours to the necessarily comprehensive, detailed and robust planning for the certification - including coaching and driving-through the successful implementation of the plan across the whole of the organisation, including external stakeholders and other interested parties at all Vauxhall sites.
Naturally, the biggest beneficiaries of all this forward-planning are Vauxhall’s customers, as the company is uniquely placed to ensure product and service supply continuity – which represents real peace of mind in the commercial world.
The certification builds on other significant awards received by Vauxhall – Britain’s Top Employer and Investors in People – recognising its responsibility and commitment to employees, Retailers, customers and other stakeholders.
