New Insignia: Designed to attract, engineered with substance
New Insignia

NEW TECHNOLOGY, AND NEW SAVINGS

Since its launch, the success of Insignia has spearheaded Vauxhall’s renaissance as a leading manufacturer of high quality, stylish and advanced vehicles – at highly competitive prices.

The examples, below, clearly show the class-leading value for money that New Insignia represents versus the outgoing model:

These lower P11D prices are great news for Company Car Drivers – as are the lower CO2 emissions that further reduce their BiK taxation. Add in the improved fuel economy and the enjoyment of significantly higher standard specifications, and the appeal of New Insignia is clear: high-end technology with lower costs.

The new Design trim replaces the previous entry-level ES and Exclusiv models – and offers a significantly higher standard specification with its alloy wheels, climate control, enhanced audio (with 4.2-inch colour display and Digital radio) plus Bluetooth® connectivity – despite the lower price tag. That’s real driver appeal.

And one driver who clearly agrees is Simon Harris, Deputy Editor of the influential Fleet News who gave it a 4.5 star rating overall and wrote: “First impressions suggest the revised Insignia could be the most impressive Vauxhall for many years, hitting best-in-class figures for costs and tax, as well as giving drivers more equipment and an engaging drive.”

On the subject of residual values he noted: “Vauxhall has been performing much better in this area of late, and forecasts for the Insignia are strong for a mainstream upper-medium car.”

NEW ENGINE RANGE

Championing the range in terms of CO2 outputs, are the 120PS and 140PS versions of the 2.0CDTi ecoFLEX Start/Stop diesel engines, which have emissions of just 99g/km and 76.3mpg Combined fuel economy for hatchback models, giving a range of up to 1,175 miles.

This represents a considerable engineering achievement over the previous 130PS unit (112g/km and 67.3mpg, respectively) – and attracts just 14%1 Benefit-in-Kind taxation, as well as substantial reductions in fuel costs and employer National Insurance Contributions.

So, how does the New Insignia stack up against the competition?

As the tables below clearly demonstrate there are substantial potential savings to be made with New Insignia - from a driver's perspective, up to £1000 less BiK whilst Whole Life Costs can show savings of over £3,500.
