All good things come to an end, and times – and needs – change. Combo has more space, more economy and more choice and is the award-winning replacement to the Astravan, which is no longer produced. In 2013, Combo is now THE light van of choice; even better for Fleet Decision Makers with its ability to provide more for less. Combo delivers everything you need.
COMBO CUTS COSTS
With on-the-road (exc. VAT) prices starting at just £14,208.33, the all-important Whole Life Costs are lower too, as shown below in the comparison between the equivalent Combo L1 H1 2000 1.3CDTi 16v ecoFLEX Start/Stop and Astravan 1.7CDTi 16v ecoFLEX over a 3-year/60,000 mile ownership period.

COMBO DELIVERS MORE
Combo comes in a choice of short (L1) or long (L2) wheelbases, standard (H1) or high (H2) roof and with GVWs of either 2000kg or 2300kg. Loadspace volumes range from 3.4cu.m to 4.2cu.m – and payloads from 705kg to 1000kg. Such flexibility means you can choose the size of vehicle that best suits your individual needs. To put that in context, the smallest Combo has more than double the loadspace of the one-size-only Astravan and a substantially greater payload.
When it comes to load access, once again Combo offers you more: offside and nearside sliding side-access doors are fitted to all long wheelbase and Crew van models; a nearside sliding side-access door is also standard on short wheelbase Sportive models. Together, the doors add even greater loading versatility to the van’s load carrying potential, while allowing convenient access to cargo via the side of the vehicle.
Occupant safety and load security are also superior on Combo, with a variety of full-height steel bulkheads, ladder frames and unglazed rear doors available.
Like Astravan, there’s a Sportive trim level that adds air conditioning and metallic paint among other benefits as standard equipment.
COMBO COMBINES MORE
Combo offers a choice of four turbo diesels (including one with Tecshift transmission) offering 90PS to 135PS, and a 1.4-litre petrol with 95PS. There are versions featuring Start/Stop technology to further reduce fuel consumption, plus ecoFLEX models delivering up to 58.9mpg (Combined) with even lower CO2 emissions.
Undoubtedly, Combo’s two-year (or 21,000 miles) service intervals (versus one-year Astravan) significantly contribute to its superior projected Whole Life Costs.
