“Vauxhall’s impressive ecoFLEX technology and efforts to show exactly which are the most efficient models help operators save fuel and therefore money”. That’s the verdict of highly respected What Van? editor Paul Barker.
And as the only UK manufacturer to offer a full range of eco-badged vans, each featuring in the top 3 in its class for CO2 emissions, it’s not surprising the Vauxhall commercial vehicle line-up has taken this season’s van awards ceremony by storm.
With Movano achieving class-leading emissions of 202g/km*1 and New Combo registering a no less impressive – and no less class-leading - 126g/km*2, the UK’s biggest CV manufacturer is clearly setting the pace when it comes to delivering benefits to operators and safeguarding the environment. The same goes for the award-winning Corsavan, which achieves a best-in-class 95g/km*3.
The story doesn’t end there. These models return impressive combined fuel economies:
• Movano up to 37.2mpg*1
• New Combo up to 58.9mpg*2
• Corsavan up to 78.3mpg*3
The What Van? citations clearly underline the message. To quote editor Paul Barker again: “Corsavan has taken another step forward in emissions during 2011, making it more appealing than ever and a worthy ‘Small Van of the Year’ winner”. As for the Movano: “our 2011 ‘Van of the Year’ is still a favourite 12 months on, and the expert What Van? judging panel had no hesitation in highly commending it in 2012.”
That’s the award-winning Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles green credentials story in a nutshell. From compact car-derived van to large panel van, Vauxhall have it covered!
