Following the announcement of the brand’s title sponsorship of the Wales Rally GB National Rally, Network Q is pleased to confirm that Double BTRDA 1400 Champions Julian Wilkes and Will Rutherford will represent the Network Q brand at this year’s event. The crew will tackle the iconic Welsh stages in their championship winning Vauxhall Nova, which will feature a specially designed Network Q livery.

A Network Q employee himself, Taunton based, Julian Wilkes has been rallying for ten years with a great deal of success – claiming back-to-back MSA English Rally Champions & BTRDA 1400 Champions 2012 & 2013. Running under the Team Network Q banner, Wilkes and Rutherford will tackle the three-day event in Wales in their giant slaying 1400cc Vauxhall Nova VXR190.

As part of Network Q’s 25th anniversary celebrations the company is renewing its iconic partnership with Wales Rally GB. Network Q has a strong, historic bond with UK rallying and was the title sponsor of Britain’s round of the FIA World Rally Championship for nine years between 1993 and 2002.

Derek Wilson, Network Q operations director, commented: “We are extremely pleased that Julian and Will are representing Network Q during the rally. Julian is a very accomplished driver and we are looking forward to seeing the crew and their Network Q branded Vauxhall Nova line up against the country’s best in November.”

Julian Wilkes, commented: “I have worked for Network Q for a number of years and I’m proud to be invited to compete on behalf of the company for their 25th anniversary surrounded by my colleagues, valued customers and retailers. For Will and I it’s a dream come true to compete on the British round of the World Rally Championship; it’s a Rally we’ve watched for many years and wished we could be a part of and now we’re there, competing for ourselves. We’ll be trying really hard over the three days but we’ll certainly make sure we’re enjoying ourselves along the way!”

During this year’s rally, Network Q will hold celebrations at the Deeside service area to mark the occasion with fans and customers of the brand. Network Q will also provide a fleet of 80 branded support vehicles for use by the organising team and officials at the event.
