    How to keep enjoying OnStar

    To keep your benefits, you’ll need to subscribe1,2. But don’t worry - we’ve made it easy. Here are two ways to continue your OnStar services (excluding Wi-Fi data3).

     

    • Option 1: Log in to the OnStar portal and go to ‘OnStar Packages’ to buy your subscription. Simple. Subscribe now >
    • Option 2: Let us help you. Press the blue Service button in your car and we’ll talk you through the steps.

The OnStar Buttons in your car

 

To contact OnStar, press one of three buttons:

  1. Blue for Service – this button puts you through to an OnStar advisor – and whichever service you need.
  2. Red for SOS – this button gets you immediate help in an emergency. It gives you a priority line to an OnStar advisor who will get support to you.
  3. Black for Privacy – if you’d prefer not to let us know where you are. This button prevents OnStar from locating your vehicle, except in an emergency (for example, if you have an accident or someone steals your car).

About buying data

To keep enjoying your Wi-Fi hotspot benefits, you need to open an account with Vodafone. You can then buy the Vodafone Internet in the Car portal plan that suits your needs.

 

How to buy data

 

1.Turn on your car’s ignition. (But don’t drive.)

2.Connect a device to your in-car Wi-Fi hotspot and open a web browser.

3.Enter a URL in the browser, such as http://www.vauxhall.co.uk.

4.You’ll be taken to an instructions page. Just follow the steps:

  • Set up an account for the Monthly/Daily plan from Vodafone
  • Buy a Wi-Fi plan on the portal
  • Switch your Wi-Fi off and on again to connect devices


That’s it. As soon as you’ve bought your data plan, you can go on enjoying fast, secure Wi-Fi in your car.


And with your account up and running, it’s easy to manage and buy Wi-Fi plans using the same portal.


Vodafone plans
Vodafone offers data plans that suit the needs of OnStar users2.

  • Vodafone’s Daily plan1 is best for a single journey. It provides 24 hours or 1GB3 of high-speed surfing and streaming for £5.
  • Vodafone’s Monthly plan (28 days)1 is ideal for frequent use. It gives you 28 days or 1GB of data for £10, or 10GB of data3 for £20.

 

1You can enjoy internet in the car on Vodafone's network when travelling in certain European destinations at no extra charge. To keep you in control, the Vodafone Internet in the Car portal keeps you informed of how much data you’re using.
