Parts Adviser Job Overview
Become a parts adviser at a Vauxhall dealership and you’ll become a vital member of the customer service team.
You’ll undertake the following duties:
- Accurately identify customer parts requirements
- Source products not in stock from distribution centres and suppliers
- Advise customers about availability and delivery time scales
- Maintain parts stock and stock records
- Process parts orders efficiently
- Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction
- Deal with any customer enquiries over the phone, over email, on the web and face to face
- Order, book parts, invoice and take payment
- Check in parts deliveries
- Help with the parts stock check
- Liaise with the workshop, service advisers and customers
- Contact customers about special promotions
- Pick parts and check for damage or shortages
- Pre-pick parts for jobs pre-booked into the workshop / body shop.
As a Vauxhall parts adviser, you’ll need to be:
- IT literate (able to use a range of computer systems confidently)
- Passionate to providing excellent customer service
- Well presented and well-mannered
- Enthusiastic
With:
- Good interpersonal skills
- Selling skills
- Attention to detail
- A full UK driving licence, if possible
