Emissions Transparency

Since September 1st 2017, certain new cars have had their fuel emissions tested using the WorldWide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) - a new, more realistic test procedure for measuring fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. On September 1st 2018, the WLTP fully replaced the previous testing procedure, the New European Drive Cycle (NEDC), for all new passenger cars.

Clean Tech/E-Mobility

As part of our commitment toward a sustainable future, we are focusing both on new technologies designed to make our existing engines more efficient, and on building an E-Mobility system in support of our future electric vehicles.

BlueInjection

Our diesel engines employ BlueInjection in their SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology. AdBlue®1 is automatically injected into the exhaust pipe to convert harmful nitrogen oxide emissions into nitrogen and water vapour, both of which are harmless to the environment.

1 AdBlue® is a registered trademark from Verband der Automobilindustrie e.V.

E-Mobility

We believe that E-Mobility represents the future of sustainable transport, benefitting drivers by lowering running costs and fuel consumption, and vastly reducing carbon emissions.

ecoTEC

Vauxhall ecoTEC combines super-efficient diesel and Turbo petrol engines with engineering innovations like enhanced aerodynamics, Start/Stop technology, low rolling resistance tyres, lightweight alloy wheels and dashboard technologies.

ecoTEC drives significant fleet efficiencies by lowering and monitoring fuel and energy consumption and CO2 emissions, offering an extensive choice of highly efficient, long-range models that go further for less.
