Vauxhall has partnered with Convo, the leading British Sign Language
(BSL) online video interpreting service.
The partnership will provide British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters
via a QR code at over 300 retailers in the UK alongside sister brands,
signifying one of the largest accessibility initiatives in the UK automotive
sector.
WHAT IS CONVO?
Convo is the leading BSL online video interpreting service, providing a
high‑speed video platform that connects deaf customers to qualified BSL
interpreters.
HOW IT WORKS
Vauxhall retailers will display a QR code in the showroom, allowing almost instant access to BSL interpreters for BSL users through Convo. Once the customer scans the QR code available at the retailer, an interpreter appears within moments on their phone. The customer signs to the interpreter, who relays the conversation verbally to the salesperson, enabling natural, real‑time communication without the need for advance booking of interpreters.
