Join Vauxhall's Electric Streets of Britain Campaign

Vauxhall’s Electric Streets of Britain campaign aims to support the 40% of UK households without off-street parking to transition to electric vehicles with ease, ensuring they have access to easy and convenient electric vehicle charge-points. Whether you drive an electric vehicle today or would consider one in future, we want to hear from you.

Answer a few short questions via the link below and tell us what charging facilities are needed on your street. We are building a nationwide picture of where EV charging demand exists. Together with our Electric Streets of Britain partners, we will use the information gathered to support local councils across the country with the acceleration of on-street charging.

A new Freedom of Information request from Vauxhall has found more than 90% of councils now have at least one charger however only half of councils offer on-street charging.

Regional disparity is still a concern, with over 70% of on-street chargers installed across the country up until the end of 2025 being found in London alone.

Vauxhall has launched a database which allows all motorists register an interest in having residential charge points installed on their street. Vauxhall will share this data with local councils and charging operators to ensure investment is focused in the right areas.

You don’t need to own an electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle today to complete the form. We also want to hear from you, if you are considering making the switch in the future, this will help ensure the required infrastructure is ready & waiting for you!

Vauxhall have partnered with leading on-street-charging operators Char.gy, Connected Kerb and SureCharge, to support our Electric Streets of Britain campaign.

These partners have access to funding from Vauxhall to support their efforts in educating your local council on the best way to quickly roll out this vital infrastructure.

Vauxhall is pleased to welcome carwow as an Electric Streets Partner. Exclusive carwow data reveals that 15% of all new vehicle enquiries so far have been for EVs. The disparity between EV interest and charge point installation highlights the scale of growth required in the UK’s charging network to keep pace with EV sales and we will be collaborating to ensure so car buyers are not put off by a lack of available charging as the number of EVs on the road grows.

Supporting businesses to move electric

Vauxhall’s new ‘Electric Van Adoption Report’ highlights the growing need for improved on-street charging infrastructure to support businesses across the country make the move to an all-electric fleet.

According to the new report, 90% of fleet operators say their drivers would be reliant on residential charging infrastructure if they were to switch to a fully electric van fleet. 23% say the lack of adequate on-street charging is the main barrier in their businesses move to electric.

Access to fast and reliable on-street residential charging is a significant factor for the thousands of drivers and businesses across the country hoping to join the UK’s electrification journey.

Tesco partnership

Vauxhall has partnered with supermarket giant, Tesco, to offer new electric vehicle customers with addtional £500 towards charging* at stores nationwide, PLUS 50,000 Tesco Clubcard points when purchasing a new private car or van from a Vauxhall UK retailer or through the online store.

Shoppers can exchange their 50,000 Clubcard points for £500 in Clubcard vouchers to be used in store or get 2x their value with more than 100 Clubcard Reward Partners.

Research was undertaken by Vauxhall in July 2026 to consider the needs of disabled motorists who rely upon on-street residential EV charging. A Freedom of Information request submitted by Vauxhall found the number of councils providing accessible on-street electric vehicle (EV) charging for disabled drivers has doubled in the last 12 months.

The Freedom of Information request also revealed:

The number of on-street EV chargers in disabled parking bays has more than doubled since 2024 from 105 to 245

An estimated 15% of on-street chargers are now specifically adapted for disabled drivers

14% of on-street chargers conform to British Standards Institutions PAS 1899:2022 accessible charging standard

Vauxhall Teamed Up with Zoopla to Help Drivers Find Home with EV Charging

Vauxhall partnered with leading property website, Zoopla, to help drivers find Electric Vehicle (EV) charging close to homes on the market.

Vauxhall research revealed 40% of UK drivers said proximity to EV charging will be an influential factor for them when they next move house.

In an industry-first collaboration, visitors to the Zoopla website and app could filter property listings to only show those with a home EV charger. They could also locate the closest public charging point to an individual property using map and location data provided by Octopus Electroverse.

Cross Pavement Charging

Vauxhall has welcomed Kerbo Charge into Electric Streets of Britain to help more drivers access electric vehicle charging at home. Research found that 42% of Tier One councils will have cross pavement charging available by the end of 2026.

Kerbo Charge is a specialist in cross pavement channel installation, offering a safe and practical solution for drivers without off-street parking to charge their EVs from home.

As part of the new collaboration, Vauxhall is now offering new customers up to £500 off a Kerbo Charge installation. Link to T&Cs

Community Electric Vehicle Charging

Electric Streets of Britain partner, Connected Kerb delivers on-street community electric vehicle charging, working with local authorities to support residents unable to charge their vehicle on a driveway.

To support new EV drivers without access to home charging, Vauxhall is offering new electric vehicle customers £500 charging credit across the Connected Kerb public charging network.

Through Electric Streets of Britain, Vauxhall continues to support Connected Kerb in its work with councils to install chargers for those who need them across the country.

Electric Streets of Britain launched in August 2023, after an exclusive Vauxhall investigation revealed more than 70% of UK councils have no published strategy in place for on-street residential electric vehicle charging.

In response, Vauxhall launched a nationwide database to track demand across the UK for on-street residential charging needs with the aim of accelerating on-street charge-point installation.

Vauxhall also teamed up with leading UK on-street charge-point operators, Char.gy and Connected Kerb to support local councils in meeting demand effectively and efficiently.

Details are based on Vauxhall's Freedom of Information request up to 2nd July 2023 and completed by 289 of the 414 councils approached

According to exclusive data collated by Vauxhall, more than 70% of UK councils do not currently have a published strategy in place for the installation of residential on-street charging.

Living with an electric vehicle is easy when you can charge close to home.

Char.gy is installing on-street charge points to give people without driveways access to easier, cheaper, greener charging within a 2-minute walk of their home. All their on-street charging points give people access to low-cost, overnight charging, when the UK’s electricity grid is typically at its greenest.

Char.gy are working to install thousands more charge points in various urban and rural locations across the UK.

Connected Kerb is an electric vehicle charging solutions provider, who aim to bring inclusive, reliable and convenient electric vehicle charging to everyone.

They focus on fast electric vehicle charging (that's 7kW to 22kW chargers) in long-stay locations such as on-street residential parking or car parks.

The company deliver on-street community electric vehicle charging, working with local authorities to support residents unable to charge their vehicle on a driveway.

Kerbo Charge

Kerbo Charge is the leading provider of cross-pavement charging channels in the UK - 36 local authorities are already trialling the product and over 1,000 channels have been installed across the UK.

When residents want to charge their car, they simply insert their charging cable into the channel and the specially designed lid closes behind, just like a zip. This eliminates the need for unsightly cables stretching across footpaths that are trip hazards for pedestrians

The Kerbo Charge home EV charging channel, manufactured in Derbyshire and backed by Dragon Den’s Deborah Meaden, is unique to the market as it can bend with the pavement surface during installation.
