Vauxhall supplies Benchmarx with new van fleet

VAUXHALL SUPPLIES BENCHMARX WITH NEW VAN FLEET

09-Jul-18

Vauxhall has delivered Benchmarx Kitchens & Joinery, suppliers of quality kitchens and joinery to the trade, eight Movano box vans.

Established in London in 2006, Benchmarx has more than 180 branches. As a member of Travis Perkins PLC, it is also part of a group of leading companies in the builders’ merchant and home improvement markets in the UK.

The new Vauxhall vans will be used to deliver high quality, ready-assembled kitchens to tradespeople nationwide.

Vauxhall supplied the Movanos in platform cab body style. Body manufacturers Lawrence David then converted them into box body vans, which are ideal for transporting lightweight kitchens.

The new fleet of Vauxhalls provides Benchmarx with an increased payload and a lighter body conversion compared to their previous vans, from another commercial vehicle manufacturer

“We are delighted to supply Benchmarx with this fleet of new Vauxhall Movano vans,” said Derek Wilson, Vauxhall’s Light Commercial Vehicle Director.

“The Movano is the perfect choice for businesses like Benchmarx thanks to its class-leading payload, economy, versatility and driver comfort.”

“The new Vauxhall vans will enable us to be far more efficient in our use both of time and fuel by rationalising the number of deliveries we make and creating a more efficient branch operation," said Steve Bareham, Southern Region Operations Director at Benchmarx.

The handover took place at the opening of Benchmarx’s new Plymouth branch at Unit D2 Cot Hill Trading Estate, Plymouth Road, Plymouth, PL7 1SR.
