Vauxhall was the largest selling manufacturer in Scotland in the crucial plate-change month of March, according to figures released today by the Scottish Motor Trade Association.
Vauxhall sold 6,047 cars in Scotland last month, accounting for 11.19 per cent of the market. With over 6,000 sold last month, the Corsa was Scotland’s best-selling car. One other Vauxhall model featured in Scotland’s top ten best-sellers, the Mokka X SUV in sixth place with over 700 sold.
“The Scottish market is of great importance to Vauxhall,” said Stephen Norman, Vauxhall’s Group Managing Director. “We are delighted to be Scotland’s best-selling car manufacturer, in March and for the last 11 years – long may it continue. We are also very pleased to see Corsa back to being Scotland’s best-selling car.”
This year, Vauxhall will launch the new generation of the best-selling Corsa, including a battery-electric version for the first time, a Grandland X PHEV and the successor to the successful British-built Vivaro as a light commercial vehicle (LCV) and passenger car variants. Additional variants and equipment versions of the all-new Combo Cargo will also be on sale, significantly renewing its LCV portfolio.
